SINGAPORE, 28 March 2011– Ren Ci Hospital is pleased to appoint Miss Loh Shu Ching (‘罗淑晶小姐’) as the Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 April 2011.  The current CEO Mr James Toi, who is under secondment, will return to Singapore General Hospital.

Miss Loh started out her career in the healthcare industry with Tan Tock Seng Hospital (‘TTSH’) back in 1993. She was seconded to the Home Nursing Foundation, another voluntary welfare organisation, as its General Manager in April 2009. She also sits on the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) Medical Advisory Board. Miss Loh has a Master in Health Management and Policy from the University of Iowa, USA on a scholarship awarded by Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

"Ren Ci would like to thank Mr James Toi for his contributions to the Hospital.  He has been a pivotal figure in driving the organisation when the community hospital first started operations.  He has also put in place several new initiatives that focus on quality standards, customer service and operations. We wish him every success in his future endeavours.

"We would also like to welcome Shu Ching to Ren Ci.  Shu Ching’s extensive years of industry experience, coupled with her proven ability to break new grounds in hospital management makes her an invaluable asset as Ren Ci continues to grow as a major player in the Intermediate and Long Term Care (‘ILTC’) sector," said Mr Chua Thian Poh, Chairman of Ren Ci Hospital Management Committee.

He added, "Our online Corporate Governance Assessment has achieved full marks.  This is a testament of our commitment towards good Corporate Governance practices, we are confident Shu Ching will continue the good work and lead Ren Ci to a higher standard of medical and nursing care."
