Since Ren Ci Community Hospital commenced operations in December 2008, the hospital has been striving to provide patients with a smooth and seamless transfer of care from an acute setting to an intermediate care environment where they can gradually rehabilitate and recuperate.
On the average, patients stay in Ren Ci Community Hospital for about three to four weeks. During their stay, our inter-disciplinary team of caring and dedicated healthcare professionals, from doctors to nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers and pharmacists, will work hand-in-hand to provide quality care to ensure that patients enjoy a smooth transition from medical dependence to optimal functional independence.
Strategically located at the heart of Singapore along Irrawaddy Road, the 15-storey tall building is connected to Tan Tock Seng Hospital via a sheltered link-bridge. The close proximity and connectivity to an acute hospital not only facilitate fast and efficient transfer of patients between the two institutions, but also allow doctors and specialists from the acute hospital the flexibility to visit their patients at the community hospital wards. Under the strong collaboration with Tan Tock Seng, Ren Ci Community Hospital's patients can also enjoy a wide range of medical services and support provided by the acute facility.
Currently, Ren Ci Community Hospital has a total of 274 beds, of which 116 are community hospital beds, and 158 sub-acute and Stable Post Operation beds*. In addition, the hospital is also equipped with a Rehabilitation Centre for patients, training facilities for caregivers, volunteers and staff.
On Level 3 of Ren Ci Community Hospital, patients and the public can receive dialysis treatments at the B. Braun Dialysis Centre, as well as enjoy TCM services at Beijing Tong Ren Tang.
