The Ren Ci Community Hospital is a step-down facility for the care and rehabilitation of the patients after their discharge from the acute hospital. At the community hospital, we provide a spectrum of clinical and nursing care to help the patients achieve maximum level of functional independence from their initial medical dependence.
Patients admitted to the community hospital are expected to stay for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. At Ren Ci Community Hospital, we also provide care for the sub-acute patients and for those who require respite care.

Chronic sick patients suffer from multiple illnesses such as Post Stroke [Neurological conditions], Spinal injury, Amputees, Fractures, Severe De-conditioning and Chronic End-organ Failures.
Many of our patients from the Chronic Sick wards are unable to eat and swallow, so tubes are inserted through their noses as a means of feeding. They usually remain in this state for years and several of them are destitute and homeless.

Patients from our Nursing Home are more interactive and most of them are of sound minds. While many are wheelchair bound, they have the ability to move about and eat on their own. They have physical needs for activities like bathing and dressing and social needs in companionship and emotional support.
Our clinical and nursing team aims at a holistic approach to help these patients rehabilitate, recuperate and recover. We treat the patients like our own family members, bringing them joy in their golden years.

Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre provides medical, nursing and para-medical care to 212 nursing home patients and 212 chronic sick patients.

Services
We provide medical, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psycho-social counseling, pharmaceutical and Traditional Chinese Medicine services. Ren Ci also conducts laboratory-on-site services such as blood tests for patients.
Charges
Most of our patients are on subsidy. This works on a case-by-case basis and the monthly subsidised charges vary according to the patients' socio-economic backgrounds.
Admission
Admission into the Ren Ci Long Term Care and the Ren Ci Nursing Home is through application to the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). The AIC would assess the circumstances to ensure that the patient receives the right level of care at the right place, at the right cost. AIC applications are made jointly by the doctor and a social worker, on behalf of the patient's family members.
