Patient types Community Hospital patients The Ren Ci Community Hospital provides patients with a smooth and seamless transfer of care from an acute setting to an intermediate care environment where they can gradually rehabilitate and recuperate before they are discharged back to the community. Our inter-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, from doctors to nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, dieticians and pharmacists, work hand-in-hand to provide quality medical, nursing and rehabilitative care for the patients, guiding them through their transit from medical dependence to optimal functional independence. Patients admitted to the community hospital are expected to stay for a period of 4 to 6 weeks, before being discharged home or to other step-down care facilities, if required.


Long Term Care (Chronic Sick) Our Long Term Care patients suffer from multiple chronic illnesses such as Post Stroke [Neurological conditions], Spinal injury, Amputees, Fractures, Severe De-conditioning and Chronic End-organ Failures. Many of our patients from the Long Term Care unit (located within the Buangkok Green Medical Park) are bed-ridden and are unable to eat and swallow. Therefore, tubes have to be inserted through their noses as a means of feeding. They usually remain in this state for years and several of them are destitute and homeless.

Nursing Home Patients from our Nursing Home are generally more interactive and most of them are of sound minds. While many are wheelchair bound, they have the ability to move about and eat on their own. They have physical needs for activities like bathing and dressing and social needs in companionship and emotional support. Our clinical and nursing team aims at a holistic approach to help these patients rehabilitate, recuperate and recover. We treat the patients like our own family members, bringing them joy in their golden years.
Patient service Services We provide medical, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psycho-social counseling, pharmaceutical and Traditional Chinese Medicine services. Ren Ci also conducts laboratory-on-site services such as blood tests for patients. Charges Most of our patients are on subsidy. This works on a case-by-case basis and the monthly subsidised charges vary according to the patients' socio-economic backgrounds. Admission Admission to any Ren Ci Community Hospital, Ren Ci Nursing Home, and Ren Ci long Term Care facility is by referral through application with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC). The AIC would assess the circumstances to ensure that the patient receives the right level of care at the right place, at the right cost. AIC applications are made jointly by the doctor and a social worker, on behalf of the patient's family members.
