Wheelchair bound, need help in bathing and dressing ?Yes, these are our nursing home residents. Many things that they could do on their own before they now have to depend on the nursing staff.
Some of these folks are already in their golden years. Though old, we make their golden years as dignified as possible.
Imagine a tube being inserted through your nose for food. Painful but there is not much of a choice for many of our friends at the Chronic Sick wards as they cannot eat and swallow.
And it makes me very sad whenever I see these friends? And they can remain like that for many years.
Luckily, our staff in Ren Ci do not give up on them.
Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre provides medical, nursing and para-medical care to 120 nursing home patients and 324 chronic sick patients.

All patients are highly subsidized. As each patient's socio-economic background is different, the monthly subsidized charges they pay will vary. But on average, ward charges are $18 a day.
All admissions into Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre are by referral. Referrals are often made on behalf of the family by medical social workers at acute hospitals.
