The low-kun (doctor) sees our patients everyday, treating their illnesses, working hand in hand with the nurses, so as to provide a healing environment and whenever possible, to help the patients reintegrate back into the community.
Low-kuns are part of a very important family. Everyone has a role, just like in a soccer team. So let’s meet Ren Ci United, starting with …
Physiotherapists (PT) ~ planning the rehabilitative physical exercise for the patients. They train the patients on their mobility using the walking frame, quad stick & parallel bar.
Occupational Therapists (OT) ~ they teach patients the basic skills that you and I take for granted. Like buttoning your own shirt, eating and other simple chores that sound easy to us but to our patients here, they need to be trained to do all these things.
That’s where the OTs comes into action.
Therapy Aides (TA) ~ they are like the "extra pair of hands" that helps the OTs and PTs.
Pharmacists ~ they make sure there is enough medicine for all the patients.
In healthcare, everyone has a role to play. Just like the Ren Ci United soccer team, starting with strikers and defenders. Oops! I mean therapists and pharmacists.
